Food Safety Review Part 1

project Summary:

In January 2023 I completed a Food Safety Manager program and certification from an industry-approved program. As a self-directed study exercise, I took the content I noted on the course study sheet provided and developed a simple 20-question self-study/review module to understand and remember the content. I developed this using Articulate Storyline and it was completed over approximately 2 days. I leveraged the Articulate Storyline “knowledge check” feature in lieu of a traditional graded final assessment or pre-check format, as I was looking for a way to learn the material with helpful feedback without the distraction of scoring or pass/fail status before my certification exam. Developing and completing this module as a learner was a successful method of helping me achieve a passing score of 95% on the program’s 60-question post-test and a passing score of 93% on the final 90-question exam to obtain my certification!

IT Troubleshooting 101

Using the new (Beta) feature with AI enhancement Vyond Go I created and edit the below microlearning video on IT/HelpDesk Troubleshooting Basics. Leveraging the AI generated scripting, voiceover, and templates I was able to create this in less than 2 hours.

Maximizing Smart Kitchen Appliances

Below was created using Vyond Go and ChatGPT for appliance product training using the following learning objectives:

• Identify and describe the key features and functionalities of various smart kitchen appliances, including ovens, refrigerators, and dishwashers, and explain how these features enhance cooking efficiency and food preservation.

• Demonstrate the correct usage of smart kitchen appliances through interactive scenarios, ensuring they can effectively operate, troubleshoot, and maintain these devices to optimize their performance and lifespan.

• Explain how to integrate smart technology into their daily cooking routines by developing personalized meal plans using app-connected features, setting cooking schedules, and utilizing remote monitoring functions for enhanced meal preparation.

Project Creation

Below is a simple outline I created of my general approach to creating e-Learning courses. Since each course development project is unique a modified approach to the one outlined may be used, particularly for rapid prototyping. Timeframes to complete each project can vary significantly, therefore time estimates for each stage have not been included.

Note on using original content: Portfolio plagiarism for professional gain has been reported within the L&D community on social networking sites and these occurrences are seeming to become more and more frequent, unfortunately. I have spent significant personal time building my portfolio to showcase my abilities, as I am unable to use prior work examples under past employers.
